The photographs in the series were taken in various parts of China and during several trips. The title was inspired by the famous Great Wall of China but being drawn to details, during my travels in China I realized that beside the famous, the promoted and the spectacular emblems, Oriental culture is by far more strongly conveyed by rural China and the everyday environment of its people.
Everyone knows the Great Wall of China, but it is worth knowing the many small walls of China that are rooted in culture and tradition. This series is a collection of verry decorative abstract compositions which carries different faces of the culture of all of China and Asia.
